Accounting Manager - Growth Opportunity

Location: Andover, MA

Compensation: to $100,000+


This is the lead finance role reporting to the President of the Company.

The right candidate for this role will initially be able to roll up their sleeves and take control of the day to day functions with the larger goal of being a true business partner to the President.


If you have a strong working knowledge of systems and processes and can bring some operational efficiencies to the operation, the career growth will come from gaining the trust of the President and contributing real value.

Responsibilities:

  • Initial responsibilities will include managing a large volume of varied payroll related duties
  • Understanding multi-location operations in a service industry will be critical
  • Managing two or three finance staff
  • Making sure that complex billing is accurate and timely
  • Budgeting and forecasting for revenues and operations
  • Handling incentive compensation and managing changes in a complex environment
  • Periodic financial and cash reporting
  • Working closely with outside accounting firm 
  • Streamlining processes and finding efficiencies
  • Automating or outsourcing functions where appropriate and cost effective
  • Understanding operations and working closely with the President to advise and guide on policy

Requirements:

  • 5+ years accounting experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline. 
  • Strong operational accounting skills 
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative and research skills 
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Ability to focus on big picture as well as detail
  • Desire to be a key business partner in an aggressive growth plan.
  • CPA preferred
