Senior Manager SEC Reporting

Location: Cambridge, MA

Compensation to $175,000

Reporting to the CFO, this newly created position will be critical to the Company's success.


A successful candidate for this role will be able to work hands-on initially to gain control of and develop new procedures for planning and compliance. The future of success in this role is in the ability to transition from hands-on to hiring and developing a solid team as growth progresses. 


This role is not for a high level manager with a large team to direct but is an opportunity for a hard worker moving towards a vision with superior technical skill.

Responsibilities:

  • Hands on startup of External Reporting process in this new SEC environment
  • Working closely with External Auditors
  • Designing policies and procedures to comply with GAAP/ASC/SEC pronouncements
  • Researching and understanding technical requirements as well as staying current with emerging guidance
  • Managing the ongoing and periodic reporting deadlines
  • Training and mentoring staff on new policies and guidelines 
  • Bringing new best practices to the Accounting and Finance organization
  • Presenting information on results and performance to senior management and investors

Requirements:

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Big 4 Experience with SEC reporting
  • Strong Senior Associate or Manager Level
  • Direct from Public Accounting or combination Public/Corporate
  • 4+ years SEC experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
