Accounting Manager - Manufacturing
Location: Newburyport, MA
Compensation to $120,000
Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturer is looking for a hands-on Business Accounting and Finance Partner to the President. This role has the ability to grow into a Controller or CFO as the company as soon as you're ready to step up.
The keys to personal growth in this role are multi-faceted and require solid GAAP skills the drive to automate processes and streamline the back office along with the ability to be an advisor to the management team.
This is a high visibility opportunity for someone with the ability to handle the daily operations while planning for growth.

Responsibilities:
- Monthly and annual reporting to management
- Maintaining accurate general and subsidiary ledgers
- Ad hock reporting and analysis when required
- Managing staff who handle accounting operations
- Cost accounting reporting
- Develop dashboard reporting and analysis tools for management and production
- Meeting with and advising management and production as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Solid understanding of GAAP Accounting
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- A solid working knowledge of Cost Accounting
- Ability to work with all levels of an organization
- Attention to detail and self-starter
- CPA certificate and/or MBA a plus
