Senior Accountant/Analyst - Corporate
Location: Wakefield, MA
Compensation to $85,000
This is a key role supporting the Finance and Reporting team as well as operations.
An excellent stepping stone to a Controller role, you will have access and input to everything from Operations, Analysis, General Ledger, Business Unit Leaders and decision makers to Audit and Reporting functions.
The broad range of knowledge and experience gained in this position will rapidly put you ahead of your peers in seeing the big picture and understanding how all of the components of the business work together. A necessary skill to position your career for success.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing Budget versus Actual results
- Performing variance analysis
- General Ledger account analysis
- Proposing and posting adjusting journal entries
- Assist in reviewing staff work
- Liaise with business unit managers to plan forecasts and analyze results
- Be integral part of a team supporting External Reporting, Operations and Senior Management
- Facilitate process improvement and controls where necessary
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 3+ years experience
- CPA a plus
- Experience with General Ledger Accounting
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Budgeting and Variance Analysis Experience a plus or an interest in learning.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
