SENIOR PROJECT ACCOUNTANT
Location: Portsmouth, NH
Compensation to $75,000
Our client, A tech industry manufacturer has a unique opportunity for a solid accounting professional who has a desire to learn and grow.
This role will be part of a new team taking on several new projects and will have a wide area of responsibility working directly with project managers, business unit managers and will be a liaison between operations and the finance team.
The ideal candidate will have the ability and desire to be mentored and learn directly from the controller as well as project managers.
There will be the ability to expand your career into a multitude of directions as the global corporate office relocates to Portsmouth area.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze ongoing project costs and update forecasts and budgets
- Interface with project managers and production managers
- Maintaining accurate contract and project accounting ledgers
- Ad hock reporting and analysis when required
- Assist with cost accounting and manufacturing accounting
- Develop dashboard reporting and project analysis tools for management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- MBA/CPA a plus
- 3+ years accounting experience
- Understanding of cost accounting
- Understanding of project accounting
- Experience with general ledger accounting
- Must have strong Excel and Word skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work with all levels of an organization
