Tax Manager CPA, MST - Public Accounting

Location: Waltham, MA

Compensation to $135,000

Our client, a well-respected, regional firm specializing in closely held businesses with a main focus on Service Industry clients, is seeking to bring on a high potential Tax Manager for their growing Tax Practice.

This opportunity has a high probability of becoming a Partner in the firm for the right individual.

The firm prides themselves on work-life balance and quality of life. They get their work done and take care of their clients but they make sure that the staff know that their lives are important as well.

Responsibilities:

Reviewing Partnership and S-Corp returns as well as complex Individual returns for the companies and the individual owners of the companies that make up their client base.
This involves a significant amount of tax planning and over time, you will develop a deep understanding of the individual clients businesses and unique needs
The position will be responsible for managing staff through engagements which involves reviewing analysis and preparation as well as providing guidance to and mentoring staff.
Staying apprised of the current and changing tax code and managing change and setting client expectations.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
4+ years public accounting and tax experience
Experience with S-Corp and individual returns
CPA/MST a plus
Experience managing staff on multiple engagements
Well versed in technical aspects of tax code
