Tax Partner - Public Accounting
Location: Newton, MA
Compensation to $250,000
This well-established Metro West CPA firm has an immediate need for a Tax Principal/Tax Partner.
This newly created, dynamic, client facing role requiring a heads up, service oriented professional will be taking the lead in running a 25+ professional Tax Department.
Managing, mentoring and setting the tone to lead the firm's tax department and developing a solid relationship with audit and advisory partners and staff will be the keys to rapid success.
Responsibilities:
- Manage senior level tax staff including resource allocation and staff planning
- Set training goals, execute and follow up on initiatives and advancement of professional staff
- Screen, interview and hire new team members to complement existing strengths
- Advise audit teams and review thought process and accuracy of tax planning accruals and considerations
- Evaluate and advise on potential client deal structure to maximize returns
- Review key client corporate and partnership returns
- Effectively communicate with all stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 12+ years public accounting and tax experience
- Experience managing mid-sized teams
- CPA/MST a plus
- Experience building teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
